Deep Roots 2026 Winter Series – Tony Boyd @ Backdraft

Tony Boyd is a solo musician born and raised in the hills of Sentobia, MS. Described as “a laid-back tribute to Americana,” Boyd has performed his own variety of folk, country and blues music throughout the region for over three decades.

Boyd picked up the harmonica at the age of twelve, but only really started performing publicly in his thirties. Now, you can find him playing all throughout North Mississippi multiple times a week, filling venues with his soothing acoustic tunes. Bob Dylan is his main musical idol, and that’s plain to see and hear in the music that Boyd masters. “Artists who found themselves in the ‘country rock’ genre of the 70s definitely influenced me.”
