The Delta Roots Radio Show, hosted by Cleveland Music Ambassador and Deep Roots manager Tricia Walker, will begin airing weekly on Sundays at noon, beginning September 1 on Majic 107.5, part of the RCI Delta radio group.
The Delta Roots Radio Show will feature two hours of Americana music, highlighting selections from the subgenres that fall under the roots music umbrella, including Country, Blues, Jazz, Rock ‘n’ Roll, R&B/Soul, Gospel, Southern Gospel, Cajun/Zydeco and Bluegrass. In addition to national and legacy artists, the Delta Roots Radio Show will feature tracks from local and regional artists affiliated with the Deep Roots project here in Cleveland, as well as curated cuts from students and graduates from the DMI Entertainment Industry program at Delta State University.
Starting with a single AM station in 1957, RCI Delta has grown to a small group of 5 stations serving the Mississippi Delta with quality news, sports, and music from a local perspective. RCI Delta has been part of the Delta’s radio dial and business landscape for generations and Deep Roots is excited about the opportunity to share some our exceptional local talent on the Delta Roots Radio Show on Majic 107.5.
