2024 Deep Roots Spring Series – Jon Byrd @ Bar Fontaine

Jon Byrd, a singer-songwriter from the heart of the Mississippi Delta, represents the best of country music: sincere songwriting and catchy, accessible melodies. Jon was raised in the small town of Rolling Fork, MS. His granddad bought a drum set for him at age 6, and this helped kickstart a lifelong obsession with music.His mother taught him three basic chords on the guitar, and he took that knowledge and ran with it. Jon released his self-titled debut album to the public in 2022. Armed with a pen and his guitar, he writes songs about what he knows, what he feels, and what experiences he’s had.
