In partnership with the Delta Arts Alliance, Deep Roots will present Craig Adams with the Delta String Band, performing their original roots music immediately following a reception celebrating the opening of a The Way I See It, an exhibit by photographer Anna Satterfield at 5:30 pm on Friday, November 18.
In a Deep Roots split bill, the Delta String Band and Craig Adams will be sharing the stage for a special night of music. Americana artist Craig Adams grew up in the riverside town of Rosedale with a knack for storytelling. He blends rock, folk, and country influences to form his unique blend of music. The Delta String Band is best described as an Americana band. They play a variety of styles, from folk and bluegrass to straight-up country. With influences like bluegrass great Ralph Stanley, folk master John Prine, pure country kings Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings, and even genre-fusing groups like the Grateful Dead, they bring their own flavor to the music they play. “The old school way” to them, means playing music in its truest, purest, stripped-down form.
