Deep Roots Winter Series – Holley Peel @ Darry’s Food & Drink

Singer/songwriter Holley Peel, whose music carries a strong storytelling influence in a bluesy/ Americana style, was born and raised in Columbus, Mississippi, but has settled in the Delta as her base of operations. The fourth-generation pianist started learning piano at six years old with two years of Suzuki method lessons before taking classical lessons for another eight years. Her musical favorites cover a wide variety, including Bob Marley, Bon Iver, Susan Tedeschi, Gillian Welch, The Meters, Glen Hansard, Stevie Wonder, and Ryan Adams.
