Piano prodigy Thomas Sanders was born in the river town of Natchez, Mississippi, and began playing piano at eight years of age, feeling “drawn” to the piano after hearing old-time radio programs and the music of local performers. Often compared to Jerry Lee Lewis and Mickey Gilley, Thomas’ upbeat style is rooted in the genres of boogie-woogie, rock and roll, and country, and he works hard every show to provide high energy entertainment for his audiences. Thomas, currently a freshman in the entertainment industry studies program at Delta State University, has shared the stage with Elvis impersonator Nick Perkins and Mack Daddy, and his performance at the Delta Music Institute’s 2022 and 2023 Summer Camps drew rave reviews online. He was a featured performer at the GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi 2022 Gala in Cleveland, Mississippi, and the Annual Bigfoot Bash in Natchez, Mississippi. When he’s not enjoying his hobby of ‘tinkering’ with tractors and working on his vintage 1957 Ford Fairlane, Thomas continues to add bookings to his schedule as he works to expand his fan base throughout the Mid-South. The Mississippi River region around Natchez has produced a long list of exceptionally talented performers, and Thomas Sanders is ready to add his name to that group.
