DESCRIPTION:The Mississippi Songwriters Festival – Delta Region\, with support from Visit Mississippi and Visit Cleveland\, will feature hit songwriters Bryan Kennedy and Ken Hart along with 20+ regional songwriters\, performing original songs in an ‘in the round’ setting at GRAMMY Museum Mississippi. Regional songwriters will perform from 6:00-9:00 pm on Friday evening\, May 15\, and 3:00-6:00 pm on Saturday afternoon\, May 16\, with each writer round performing in 50 minutes sets. The finale round\, featuring two professional guest songwriters from Nashville\, begins at 7 pm on Saturday night\, May 16. SUMMARY:Deep Roots: Fourth Friday Live Downtown! - Big Time Rhythm & Blues Band
DESCRIPTION:Born and raised in the Mississippi Delta\, ‘Cadillac’ Dennis’ musical journey began with singing and playing drums with the church choir as a kid.  While majoring in music at Mississippi Valley State University\, he began dabbling with guitar and piano.  This led to his playing in a number of Gospel bands in his twenties\, before starting to play guitar for various Blues artists. Dennis formed his own band\, the Big Time Rhythm & Blues Band in the spring of 2010 and booked performances throughout the South\, Northwest\, and even Hawaii.  He recently released a single\, “2X Woman”\, which he co-produced with the help of another Deep Roots musician\, Eric Edwards.

DESCRIPTION:Mississippi Marshall is a singer/songwriter/guitarist raised right in the heart of the Mississippi Delta. Marshall’s original guitar stylings range from old style Delta Blues to in-your-face blues boogie. His original music reflects his life experiences and for over 30 years\, he has toured the country\, headlining Blues clubs and festivals\, including the Juke Joint Festival\, Unity Festival\, World Catfish Festival\, Que on the Yazoo\, and the Sam Chatmon Festival\, both as a solo artist and with his band\, The Juke Daddys. \nMississippi Marshall is a two-time International Blues Challenge Semi-Finalist and a Mississippi Music Foundation award winner for Best Instrumental.  Marshall and his grandson\, Grayson\, were semifinalists  at the 2024 International Blues Challenge in Memphis\, TN. He recently released his fourth album titled I Believe I’ll Go Back Home.
