Mike Ellis is a country singer and guitarist based in the Mississippi Delta. Born in Memphis, TN, raised in Webb, MS, and currently based in Sumner, Ellis is a long-time Delta resident. “I choose to live in the Mississippi Delta because of my love for agriculture and music. The Delta is rich in both.” Ellis has had a love for music and singing since early childhood, and he picked up the guitar at age eleven. In his formative years, Ellis was influenced by many of the “greats” in country, rock, and blues: George Strait, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Tom Petty, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Ronnie Millsap, and Bob Wills, to name a few. It’s clear from his music that he’s emulated the best of the best with his foot-stomping rhythms and catchy melodies.
